Music in the Meadow Friday 5/31

Summer 2024 kicks off with another stellar lineup at Connecticut College’s annual Music in the Meadow concert on Friday, May 31! Ben and Nancy will open the show in a new stripped-down format, with musician Steve Elci adding percussion and a third vocal harmony to the mix. The Rivergods will perform this way for the summer season, returning to the songwriting intimacy and vocal harmonizing of their early years. For more on our summer schedule, visit the shows page.

Oh Captain, My Captain!

We are excited to close out our summer schedule this Saturday, Aug. 13 at one of our favorite summer joints, Captain Scott’s Lobster Dock in New London, CT. Showtime is 6pm, and we’ll be playing two long sets of Rivergods’ trade-marked folk/rock/country/whatever music. (!) In between, Rhode Island singer/songwriter Mike Iula will perform an acoustic set of his original tunes. Oh, and just for the occasion, we’ve made some FREE commemorative pins! Get one while they last at the show…

See you on the dock Saturday night? We hope so!

May 27 show cancelled

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 entering the ranks, our Friday May 27 show at the Social with the Bargain has been cancelled. We are very bummed and are hoping to make up the date sooner than later, but encourage you to head down to the Social anyway to enjoy their incredible food, and 50 local/regional beers on tap. 50! (Just don’t try them all at once…) See you soon. -The Rivergods
