Big show Thanksgiving Eve in Mystic!

BIG SHOW! The Rivergods, Sue Menhart Band and Black Marmot kick of the Live and Local series Thanksgiving Eve at Mystic Art Cinemas. For the price of a movie ticket, sit back and enjoy three bands from the plush comfort of a movie chair.  In addition to the music, Regan Enterprises of Groton, CT is giving away a trip to New York City to a lucky audience member the night of the show! Includes a one night stay at a posh hotel and two tickets to a Broadway show of your choice. HOLY SHIZ*R! The Rivergods close out a great season of ‘Tunes on the Dunes’ at Westerly Town Beach on Monday, August 15 from 6-8 pm. In a season that saw members of the Byrds and Barry McGuire (‘Eve of Destruction’) play, along with Al Stewart; we are poised and ready to rock the beach! Yummy! The Rivergods return to Michael’s Dairy Friday, Aug. 19th for our annual gazebo show. Bring some lawn chairs and the fam for some tasty tunes and treats! Did we mention there’s ice cream?? Always a fun night… this is our fourth or fifth year playing there. FREE show! C’mon out… more info.

Also, on Friday, August 19, Rivergods’ singer/songwriter Nancy Parent joins fellow Good Sponge recording artist Sue Menhart for a special lunchtime acoustic performance on the Parade Plaza in New London from 12-1 pm.  Grab your lunch, and c’mon out for a harmoniously scrumptious time. Hey y’all!  The Rivergods return for a double-shot of summer fun this weekend.  First off, Friday 7/22, we’ll be playing the Blue Collar Happy Hour at Burke’s Tavern in Niantic, one of our favorite local watering holes.  BCHH nights are always a blast, lots of loose musical fun, usually a special guest or two… much revelry.  So c’mon out and cool down with us at Burke’s!  Here’s the skinny:

Then, on Saturday 7/23, members of the Rivergods will participate in Sinners Circle 13 at Hygienic Art Park.  There will be two songwriting circles, featuring some amazing songwriting talent from CT and beyond (Carl Franklin, Daphne Lee Martin, Eric Michael Lichter, Brian Skidmore, Lisa Martin, ArleneWow!, Frank Critelli, and the inimitable Dave Rave).  Following that, there will be a ‘Disciples of Neil’ late night, guitar-soaked tribute to Neil Young, featuring a house band that includes Ben, Nancy, Dan and Mike from the Rivergods, as well as John Fries and Carl Franklin on lead guitars.  Members of the nights’ circles will take vocal duties… it’s gonna be a scorcher.  Full details below:
